A Note from Paul

Serving my hometown as a Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge is a great honor. On January 6, 2019, my tenure began. I succeeded Judge Mary Kuhnmuensch who was recently honored with a lifetime achievement award for her many dedicated years of service to the Milwaukee community and the legal profession. Hon. Mary Kuhnmuensch served as the circuit court judge in Branch 5, faithfully following in the footsteps of Judge Patrick Sheedy and Judge Ralph Podell.

On February 21, 2019, the Wisconsin Law Journal honored retired Judge Mary Kuhnmuensch, former Branch 5, with a lifetime achievement award at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Judge Kuhnmuensch above with Paul Dedinsky, Branch 5.

Milwaukee boasts so many opportunities and attractions, but by far, its true greatness is found in the vitality and warmth of its hard-working people. In the greater community that really makes Milwaukee famous, we are so blessed with an impressive array of service from so many self-less individuals. I am blessed to be working together with them all for the restoration of peace and justice for people in our community.

On a personal note, I could not have been more pleased to take the bench at the Milwaukee Vel R. Phillips Juvenile Justice Center. I was blessed to have known Vel Phillips and learned from her. The Milwaukee Children’s Court Center has held a prominent place in my life, a “home away from home” of sorts during many of the years of my legal career. Grateful to so many dedicated and compassionate professionals who serve children and families in our community.
